The land is flat and open on the edge of the Humberhead Levels, with Hatfield Moors, part of a nationally important peat reserve, about a mile away for birdwatching and level strolls. Doncaster is roughly six miles west for shops, the racecourse and the trains, and the M18 and M180 put the coast and the Isle of Axholme within easy reach.
