About this site

Berry Hill Certificated Location is a small, members only caravan and motorhome site on the northern edge of Bournemouth, a 0.75 acre grass CL that trades facilities for a genuinely handy position near the Dorset coast. It sits at 253 Muscliffe Lane, roughly 3 miles from the nearest sandy beach, with a pub and a village centre both within a mile and a bus stop inside a mile running into Bournemouth town centre. Bournemouth Central station is under 5 miles away and Poole port is 6 miles off, which makes Berry Hill a sensible overnight before a ferry. Pitching is grass with electric hook up, and that is close to the whole story: the club's facilities list runs to good TV reception and nothing else, so you need to arrive fully self contained. Caravans and motorhomes are welcome, dogs are welcome and families are fine, but tents are not accepted and anyone wanting a shower block should look elsewhere. What stands out is the balance of quiet and access, with guests describing a peaceful field, friendly owners and good cycle routes towards Bournemouth, Boscombe and Poole harbour. It is open all year, weather permitting, from £18 a night for a pitch and all occupants, and Caravan and Motorhome Club membership is required to book.

Good to know

Do you have to be a club member to stay at Berry Hill?
Yes, Berry Hill is a Certificated Location, so it is open only to Caravan and Motorhome Club members and you need a valid membership to book. The owners take phone enquiries in two windows only, between 12.45pm and 1.45pm and again between 6pm and 9pm, so time your call.
Is Berry Hill open all year?
Yes, the Caravan and Motorhome Club lists Berry Hill as open all year, weather permitting. That qualifier matters on a grass only site outside Bournemouth, where soft ground is the limiting factor, so ring the owners before a winter or early spring trip to check the field is usable.
Are dogs allowed at Berry Hill?
Yes, dogs are welcome and the Caravan and Motorhome Club flags the site as ideal for dogs. Berry Hill is 0.75 acres of open grass on the edge of Bournemouth, and there is a pub and a village centre within a mile, so walks can end somewhere useful.
Are there toilets and showers at Berry Hill?
No, the club's facilities list for Berry Hill records good TV reception and no toilet or shower block at all. You need a fully self contained caravan or motorhome with its own washroom. The site also has no electric vehicle charging, so plan charging stops elsewhere in Bournemouth.
How much does Berry Hill cost a night?
Pitches start from £18 a night for a pitch and all occupants, with an awning adding 50p a night. The Caravan and Motorhome Club lists that rate as running from June 2024, so confirm it when you book. Payment is by cash or cheque only, not card.
How far is Berry Hill from the beach?
The nearest sandy beach is 3 miles from the site. A bus stop within a mile runs into Bournemouth town centre, and Bournemouth Central station is under 5 miles away. Poole port is 6 miles off, and coarse fishing, game fishing, golf and watersports are all within 5 miles.
