About this site

Bide Yer Caravan Site is a small, adults-only Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated Location with five hard-standing pitches, set in quiet Dorset countryside just outside Bridport near the village of Salway Ash. The name is Dorset dialect for stay here, which sums up the unhurried mood. Sitting on the B3162 about two miles from Bridport, the site makes an easy base for the Jurassic Coast and South West Coast Path, with West Bay (a Broadchurch filming location), Lyme Regis, Charmouth and Weymouth all within reach. Each pitch is hard standing with an adjacent grass area for an awning, its own water supply, electric hook-up and grey water outlet. There is a toilet block plus chemical and grey water disposal, but no showers on site, so pack for that. The location takes Caravan and Motorhome Club members only and is adults only, so it does not suit families with children. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, with walking on the village pavement, at the village hall and at Allington Hill about 1.5 miles away. Washingpool Farm Shop is under a mile off. Bide Yer opens all year, with pitches from £27 a night for up to two adults and £5 per extra adult, booked through the Club system.
