About this site

Branscombe Airfield and Caravan Site is a family run campsite on a grass airfield at Branscombe on the East Devon coast, within about four miles of Sidmouth, Seaton and Beer. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the edge of Branscombe village, said to be the longest village in England, the site has wide open space, views over rolling countryside and a distant sea view. Pitches come powered or non powered, premium or standard, and there is a four berth static caravan for those who would rather not camp. Facilities include an enclosed children's play area, room for football, a small indoor games room, a utility room, a stocked shop and a dedicated dog exercise area. The novelty here is real: light aircraft take off and land from the grass strip, which keeps children entertained, so plane spotters and families will enjoy it, while anyone wanting total silence or a big commercial park should look elsewhere. Dogs are welcome for a small nightly charge, and the local bus stops just outside for trips to nearby towns. Branscombe's two award winning pubs sit a walk away down in the village. Branscombe Airfield and Caravan Site runs from early spring to the end of October. Non powered grass pitches start from £19 a night for two people, booked through the campsite.
