Why campers love it here
About this site
Pitches: 200 Opening Dates: Open All Year A traditional caravan and camping site in Cheddar free from pretentious wardens and just 4 minutes drive, 15 footpath minute walk from the Gorge with outstanding views of the magnificent Mendip Hills. Whatever you prefer: Staying on site and chatting to friends Taking a stroll around the Somerset Levels Wandering up the Gorge Conquering The Mendips Visiting our many local attractions Just imagine simply sitting round a campfire chatting into the small-hours with friends and a glass or two of your favorite tipple... A warm welcome awaits you from Jules, Sandra, Kelly and Steve. We're happy to take the children on Quad or trailer rides and there's also Pony treking and Karting as well as climbing and caving close by. Whether you are a seasoned veteran or new to camping or "vanning", you want to know that you are coming to a venue that is clean and safe, close enough to walk to local shops but far enough away to switch off from it all. We provide the ideal base from which to enjoy your time away. The Strawberry line footpath runs straight from our entrance to the village and onto the Gorge and beyond. We have toilets adnwashing up points and this year have added piping-hot showers - unless of course you prefer to bathe in the river Yeo just a short walk away? We have plenty of water taps along with 25 electric hook ups. We provide colour coded rubbish sacks so we can all do our bit for the environment. We'll give you a handy guide to Cheddar - a little booklet we've put together that helps you find great stuff like the best pubs and restaurants as well as how to get your tent fixed! You'll even get a deal if you take it with you when you eat out!
