About this site

Cherry Tree Farm is a family-run campsite above Croyde Bay in North Devon, a ten to twelve minute walk from the sand at Croyde beach, with sea views and big sunsets thrown in. The site has been reworked in recent years and now runs generous 10m by 12m grass pitches split across dog-friendly and dog-free fields, so you can pick your side. It suits tents, campervans and motorhomes up to seven metres, plus anyone after a softer landing in one of the luxury bell tents. Touring caravans are the exception: single-axle vans under seven metres are considered by prior approval only, and the pitches are sloping grass with no hard standings, so this is not the place for a fully serviced caravan holiday. What lifts Cherry Tree Farm beyond a plain field is the extras: a sauna and ice baths open year-round, the harpers coffee trailer, yoga in the barn and regular food pop-ups and feasts. Electric hookup pitches are available, raised fire pits are allowed until 10.30pm, and reception runs 8am to 8pm. Croyde village, Putsborough, Woolacombe and Saunton are all within easy reach. Open April to September, Cherry Tree Farm fills fast for summer, so reserve your pitch at Croyde early.

Good to know

Are dogs allowed at Cherry Tree Farm?
Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome in most fields and there are dedicated dog-free fields too, so campers who prefer no pets nearby can choose accordingly. Dogs should be kept on a lead onsite and owners are asked to clean up after them at this Croyde campsite.
How far is the beach from Cherry Tree Farm?
Croyde beach is roughly a ten to twelve minute walk from the site, and Putsborough, Woolacombe and Saunton Sands are all within easy reach by car. The pitches also enjoy sea views across Croyde Bay and some memorable North Devon sunsets.
Can I bring a caravan or motorhome?
Campervans and motorhomes up to seven metres are welcome, though anything larger is not accepted. Touring caravans are limited to single-axle vans under seven metres and only by prior approval, as the sloping grass pitches have no hard standings. Contact the site before booking a caravan.
Are there electric hookups?
Yes, Cherry Tree Farm has electric hookup pitches available in several of its fields, including Stentaways, Jinnies and Strawberry. Choose an electric pitch when you book if you need power, as not every pitch on the site is served by a hookup.
Are fire pits allowed?
Yes, raised fire pits are allowed provided they are lifted off the grass, and the site asks that they are extinguished by 10.30pm to keep evenings settled. It is a nice touch for campers who like gathering round a fire after a day on the beach.
When is Cherry Tree Farm open?
The campsite opens from April to September, covering the main North Devon surf and beach season. Because Croyde is popular through the summer holidays, it is worth booking your pitch or bell tent well ahead, particularly for August weekends and bank holidays.
