About this site

Pitches: 70 Opening Dates: 20/02 to 26/10 "A valley delight on the Lancashire borders" The parkland setting of the Edisford Riverside Picnic and Recreation area is home to our Clitheroe Club Site. South of the Forest of Bowland, the site is wonderfully peaceful and is close enough to the coast to enjoy a day trip. Clitheroe town is a mile-and-a-half away. A 12th century Norman keep overlooks the town and the museum holds the North West Sound Archive of 9,000 recordings made in the area. Manchester is a train ride away, with excellent shopping facilities and several interesting museums, including the Imperial War Museum North. The Forest of Bowland offers a wide range of unspoilt landscapes to explore. The Ribble Valley Sculpture Trail exhibits the work of local artists. Knowsley Safari Park is home to lions, tigers and a baboon jungle. The River Ribble borders the site, with good walks. Ask at reception for information on day permits for fishing. Towneley Hall Art Gallery and Museums in Burnley includes a country house, aquarium and natural history centre. For more information please visit our website . Member price from: £7.60 per person per night
