About this site

Coast View Holiday Park is a large hilltop park above the village of Shaldon near Teignmouth in South Devon, best known for its luxury lodges but also home to static caravans, chalets and a limited number of touring and camping pitches. The views are the headline here, looking out over Lyme Bay and the Devon coastline, and on a good day you might spot dolphins offshore. From the top of the park you can walk down into Shaldon, with its pubs and little beach, or reach the Ness headland, and a bus runs from the gate so the car can stay put. Touring and camping is on a modest scale, with pitches limited to one unit and one car, so tents, caravans and motorhomes are welcome but this is a holiday park with lodges at its heart rather than a dedicated campsite. On site there is an indoor heated pool, a cafe-bar, a gym and wellness area, crazy golf and play areas, and dogs are welcome. It suits families and couples who want facilities and comfort close to the beach. Coast View opens across the main season from March to November. Check pitch and lodge availability through the Coast View website before you travel.

Good to know

Can you camp or bring a touring caravan to Coast View Holiday Park?
Yes, alongside its luxury lodges and static caravans, Coast View offers a limited number of touring and camping pitches, each restricted to one tent or touring caravan and one car, or a single motorhome. It is a lodge-led holiday park near Shaldon rather than a dedicated campsite.
Does Coast View have a swimming pool?
Yes, the park has an indoor heated pool, along with a cafe-bar, a gym and a wellness and beauty area. There are also play areas and crazy golf on site, and guests can use complimentary golf membership, so there is plenty to do without leaving the hilltop park.
Are dogs allowed at Coast View Holiday Park?
Yes, Coast View is dog-friendly, with dog-friendly accommodation and a dog-walking area on site. Its hilltop position above Shaldon near Teignmouth gives easy access to coastal footpaths, and there are dog-welcoming beaches and walks along the South Devon coast within a short drive.
How far is the beach from Coast View?
The park sits high above the village of Shaldon, and you can walk down into the village with its little beach, pubs and the Ness headland. A regular bus runs from the park gates, so you can reach the beach and nearby Teignmouth without taking the car.
When is Coast View Holiday Park open?
Coast View operates across the main season, roughly March to November, for both holiday accommodation and touring. Exact touring pitch availability is limited, so it is worth checking directly with the park before you travel, especially in peak summer when the lodges and pitches book up quickly.
