Why campers love it here
About this site
Ferryboat Farm Fisheries is a lakeside fishing and camping site in the Don valley at Old Denaby, between Mexborough and Conisbrough near Doncaster in South Yorkshire. Camping is built around two coarse fishing lakes and the River Don, with pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes and electric hook-ups, plus toilets, showers and a games room on site. What sets it apart is the on-site licensed bar and food, so you can fish all day and eat and drink in the evening without leaving. The site is genuinely fishing-first, drawing anglers and groups, and it runs a mix of family-friendly areas and separate quieter adults-only camping zones, so it is worth asking which suits you when you book. Conisbrough Castle, with its striking Norman keep, is about a mile and a half away, and the River Don and Trans Pennine Trail give walking and cycling close by. Mexborough and Conisbrough both have shops and stations within a couple of miles. Ferryboat Farm Fisheries is open through the season for camping and fishing, so check current pitch types, prices and any adults-only rules directly with the site when you book.
