Fox Hagg Farm

Fox Hagg Farm is a working farm campsite on a hillside above the Rivelin Valley on the western edge of Sheffield in South Yorkshire. Pitches are open grass with room to choose your own spot, taking tents, caravans and motorhomes, and a few pitches have electric hook-up. The views are the draw, looking out over the Rivelin dams and the moors, with the Peak District boundary a mile or two west. It is a genuine farm, with cattle, horses and hens nearby and fresh eggs for sale, so it suits families and couples after a quiet, scenic pitch rather than groups after a party. Single-sex groups and unaccompanied teenagers are not accepted, and dogs are welcome on a lead. Be ready for a steep, narrow lane off the A57 and a sloping field, so bring levelling ramps for a van. Sheffield city centre is about five miles east for shops, while walkers and cyclists can reach the Rivelin Valley trails and the Peak District straight from the farm. Fox Hagg Farm opens from April to October, with tents from £7 a night per adult and touring pitches from £19 a night.
