Greensprings Touring Park

Greensprings Touring Park is a quiet, wooded touring park at Rockley Abbey Farm near Worsbrough, just south of Barnsley in South Yorkshire. It has around sixty pitches across two areas, one of them gently sloping, with electric hook-ups, hardstanding and grass, taking tents, caravans and motorhomes. The setting is secluded farmland and woodland in the Pennine foothills, next to the Wentworth Castle estate, so it feels rural despite being close to the motorway. Junction 36 of the M1 is about a mile away, which makes it an easy stopover as well as a base for exploring, and Barnsley town is roughly three miles north. Worsbrough Mill and Country Park, with its reservoir and walking trails, sits a mile or two east, while the Peak District is within a half-hour drive. It is a calm, tidy park that suits couples, families and tourers who want peace and good facilities rather than on-site entertainment. Dogs are welcome. Greensprings Touring Park opens from April to October, and pitches are booked directly with the park by phone.
