About this site

Hollins Farm Touring & Camping is Holgates' working farm park at Far Arnside, near Silverdale, a five star site whose best feature is the Arnside Knott footpath running straight through the ground. The park sits inside the Arnside and Silverdale National Landscape, with the coastal walks and picnic spots of Far Arnside just down the lane, Gait Barrows National Nature Reserve under ten minutes away by car, and the Lake District within the hour. You get hardstanding touring pitches on 16amp hook up, grass tent pitches, glamping pods in a quiet corner of the park and a six bed cottage, plus a 15 minute stroll to the leisure complex at Holgates Silverdale, where pool access is included in your holiday price (the gym and bowling lanes are not). Dogs are welcome and the walking from the gate is the whole point, so Hollins Farm suits walkers, dog owners and families happy to potter about; if you want a swimming pool and soft play on your doorstep rather than a quarter of an hour away, book Silverdale instead. Beyond the facilities list there is the farm itself, with animals for children to spot, a David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award held for several years and five stars from the AA. Holgates quote all pitch prices through their own booking system, so check dates and rates on 01524 701508.

Good to know

Are dogs allowed at Hollins Farm?
Yes, dogs are welcome and there is a lot of walking straight from the park, including Arnside Knott and the coastal paths around Far Arnside. Dogs cannot go inside the leisure complex at Holgates Silverdale, but they are allowed on the outdoor terrace there, and most of the nearby beaches take dogs too.
Can you walk up Arnside Knott from the site?
Yes, the Arnside Knott footpath runs directly through Hollins Farm, so you can leave the car on the pitch and start climbing from your tent. The route opens up views over Silverdale, Arnside and Morecambe Bay. The coastal walks and picnic spots at Far Arnside are just down the lane.
Is the swimming pool included when you stay at Hollins Farm?
Yes, access to the leisure complex at Holgates Silverdale Holiday Park is included in your holiday price, a 15 minute stroll from Hollins Farm. That covers two indoor pools, a spa pool, sauna, steam room and a separate toddler pool. The gym and the bowling lanes are charged separately.
Does Hollins Farm take tents?
Yes, there are grass camping pitches alongside hardstanding touring pitches for caravans and motorhomes, plus glamping pods in a quiet corner of the park. If you are bringing a trailer tent or a roof tent, Holgates ask you to book a hardstanding pitch rather than a camping pitch.
When is Hollins Farm open?
Holgates' own page for Hollins Farm states the park is open all year for touring, camping and glamping pods, while the same page's summary describes a March to November season. The two do not agree, so confirm your dates with Holgates on 01524 701508 before you book.
How much does it cost to stay at Hollins Farm?
Holgates do not publish a nightly tariff. Prices are quoted through their own booking system at holgates.co.uk or over the phone on 01524 701508. A £100 deposit secures a booking, and the minimum stay is two nights, rising to three or four over bank holidays and New Year.
