Ilton Farm Campsite is a quiet, family-run site on a working farm in the South Hams, around a mile and a half from the sailing town of Salcombe and five miles from Kingsbridge in South Devon. The three-acre site, with an extra overflow field in summer, has level pitches with room for roughly 35 tents plus 36 electric hook-ups, and four shepherd huts offer a more comfortable glamping option. It suits families and couples after an easygoing base near the coast, and the owners keep it calm by not taking large groups or groups of teenagers. Facilities include a newly built heated block with free showers, free lockers for charging devices, a family and accessible shower room, dishwashing sinks and a coin-operated laundry, plus free wifi. Malborough village, about a mile away, has a shop, post office and two pubs, and Ashby's farm shop is a few hundred metres from the gate. There are at least six beaches within five miles, from small coves to the wide sands of Bantham and Bigbury, and a cycle track and bus route make car-free days out easy. Ilton Farm Campsite is open all year, and you can check dates and book through the site's own website.
