About this site

In the green folds of the Moss Valley on Sheffield's southern rim, Lightwood Farm runs a small certificated location at Norton in South Yorkshire. It is a Caravan and Motorhome Club members' pitch, five grass bays for caravans and motorhomes, each with its own electric point and water tap and a chemical disposal on site. Tents are not taken. The valley feels properly rural, yet Graves Park is only about a mile north and Sheffield city centre roughly four miles beyond, so it works for museums and matches as well as for the hills, with the western Peak District around six miles west. A dog walk leads off the site, and dogs are welcome. Being open all year, Lightwood Farm suits members who tour through winter as much as summer, and it is a restful, view-filled base rather than a park with a shop and a bar. Book through the Caravan and Motorhome Club to stay near Sheffield.
