Why campers love it here
About this site
Little Meadow Camp Site is a small, family-run campsite on a farm at Watermouth, between Berrynarbor and Ilfracombe on the North Devon coast, with one of the best sea views in the county. The site looks out over Watermouth Harbour and Combe Martin bay to the Hangman Hills of Exmoor, the Bristol Channel and, on a clear day, the Welsh coast beyond; porpoises are sometimes spotted offshore. There are 50 individually marked, generous grass pitches for tents, touring caravans, motorhomes and campervans, set on flower-bordered terraces, with electric hook-ups available. The South West Coast Path runs close by, a bus stops at the entrance and there is a pub about half a kilometre away, with Ilfracombe just five minutes down the road. The owners describe it as uncommercial and green, so you get a clean shower block, a small shop, WiFi, a washing machine and a wooded, traffic-free play area rather than pools, bars and entertainment. That makes Little Meadow a good fit for families and couples who want quiet camping, coastal walks and sea views, not a lively holiday park. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on leads, with a separate dog exercise field. The site is open from late March to the end of September and bookings are taken through its online booking system.
