About this site

Longfield Stables is a small, family-run caravan and camping site set on a landscaped three-acre plot above Kingsteignton, near Newton Abbot in South Devon. The south-facing site has spacious individual caravan pitches, each fully serviced with 16 amp electric hook-up, fresh water and drainage, plus four level terraced tent pitches, around 7m by 7m and woodchip-covered to keep things dry, all with electric. A toilet and shower block with a dishwashing area and free wi-fi covers the basics, and coded security gates make it a safe, enclosed base. Children are a big part of the appeal at Longfield Stables: there is a play area with three activity centres, and friendly miniature Shetland ponies and goats that little ones can help feed and groom. It suits families and couples after a quiet, tidy site with views across to Dartmoor rather than a large park with bars and pools. Pets are welcome. Kingsteignton sits right below the site, and Newton Abbot, the Teign estuary, Teignmouth and the South Devon coast are all a short drive, with Dartmoor close for walking. Seasonal touring pitches and a few holiday-home pitches are also available. For a compact, well-cared-for base near Newton Abbot, Longfield Stables is a friendly South Devon choice.
