About this site

Lynton Camping and Caravanning Club Site is a Club-owned campsite on a hilltop above the Exmoor coast, near Caffyns Cross just west of Lynton in North Devon. Many pitches take in panoramic views across the countryside and out to sea towards Wales, and the location is a genuine draw for walkers. Routes including the South West Coast Path and Two Moors Way meet at nearby Lynmouth, and Exmoor National Park lies to the south. The site offers grass pitches with and without electric hook-up plus hardstandings, so it takes tents, caravans and motorhomes, though some pitches slope and levellers are useful. It suits walkers, couples and families after fresh air and views rather than anyone wanting nightlife on the doorstep. Facilities include showers, a shop, wifi and a children's play area, and pets are welcome. The Valley of the Rocks with its wild goats, and the water-powered Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway, are close by. The approach lane is narrow, so arrivals are after 1pm and you should not follow sat nav. The Lynton Club Site opens late March to late September, with member pitch prices from £9.30 per night.
