About this site

Mount Pleasant Farm is a five pitch Caravan and Motorhome Club CL on Meltham Road at Honley, roughly three miles down the valley from Holmfirth in West Yorkshire. It stands on the northern shoulder of the Peak District, with wide views and the Pennine Way within reach, which is why walking tourers keep coming back. Honley village has a train station and everyday shops, Holmfirth of Last of the Summer Wine fame is a quick drive for cafes and pubs, and the national park moors rise just to the south. The pitches sit on a lawned, gently sloping plot, so levelling blocks earn their keep, and each has a 10 amp electric hook up plus Wi-Fi and good television reception. There is no toilet or shower block, so a self contained van is the way to stay at Mount Pleasant Farm. Dogs are accepted by prior arrangement, so flag yours when you book. In feel it is a calm, grown up base for couples and walkers rather than a family park with play equipment. The site stays open the year round for club members, with pitches arranged directly with the owners by phone.

Good to know

Do I need to be a member?
Yes, Mount Pleasant Farm is a Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated Location, so it is for Club members. You can join the Caravan and Motorhome Club in advance or when you book, then arrange your stay directly with the site owners by phone.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, dogs are accepted at Mount Pleasant Farm, but by prior arrangement, so mention your dog when you book. The site sits close to the Pennine Way and the northern edge of the Peak District, which makes it a good base for touring with a dog.
Are there toilets and showers?
No, there are no toilet or shower facilities at Mount Pleasant Farm, so the CL suits caravans and motorhomes with their own on-board facilities. Each pitch has a 10 amp electric hook-up, and there is Wi-Fi and good TV reception on a lawned plot.
Who is the site best suited to?
Mount Pleasant Farm suits couples, walkers and touring caravanners after a quiet, scenic base. It is a small, adult-minded CL with no toilet block or play facilities, so it is less suited to families wanting on-site entertainment. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement here.
Is the site open all year?
Yes, Mount Pleasant Farm is open all year. It has around five pitches on a lawned, part sloping plot with 10 amp electric hook-ups, and it works as a year-round touring base for Holmfirth, the Holme Valley and the northern Peak District.
