About this site

Newsholme Manor Restaurant is a Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site set in open Pennine countryside above Oakworth, near Keighley in West Yorkshire, with its own restaurant and bar as the headline draw. The Sexton family built Newsholme Manor in 1972, and the pitches look out over panoramic rural views across the valley. You are close to Haworth and Bronte Country, the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway is nearby, and Skipton is about 20 minutes away by car. This is a small five-van site with hardstanding and grass pitches and electric hook-up, plus a rally field with limited hook-up that suits groups and club meetings. It is a member site, so you need Camping and Caravanning Club membership to stay, and it suits caravanners and motorhomers after a quiet base rather than anyone wanting a large commercial park with pools and shops. What sets it apart is the restaurant: traditional home-cooked food from the original chef and proprietor, with lunches Thursday to Sunday and evening meals Thursday to Saturday, a bar on site, and bed and breakfast rooms as well. Dogs are welcome on a lead. The site is open all year, member pitch prices start from £13 a night, and stays are booked through the Camping and Caravanning Club.

Good to know

Do I need to be a Camping and Caravanning Club member to stay?
Yes, Newsholme Manor Restaurant is a Certificated Site, so you need Camping and Caravanning Club membership to book and stay. You can join the Club in advance online or by phone, and members then book directly through the Club's system. The site takes caravans and motorhomes, with tents at the owner's discretion.
Are dogs allowed at Newsholme Manor Restaurant?
Yes, dogs are welcome at Newsholme Manor Restaurant, but they must be kept on a lead at all times around the site. The surrounding Oakworth countryside near Keighley gives plenty of room for walks, and the Worth Valley and Bronte moors are close by for longer dog-friendly outings with the family.
Is there electric hook-up?
Yes, electric hook-up is available at Newsholme Manor Restaurant, on both hardstanding and grass pitches. The rally field has limited hardstanding and hook-up and is popular with groups holding meetings. As a five-van Certificated Site it stays small and quiet, so booking ahead through the Club is sensible in peak season.
Is the site open all year?
Yes, Newsholme Manor Restaurant is open all year, so you can visit in winter as well as summer. It sits in exposed Pennine countryside above Oakworth, so pack for changeable weather outside the warmer months. The on-site restaurant and bar make cold-weather stays more comfortable than at many small sites.
Is there food and drink on site?
Yes, the site is built around Newsholme Manor's restaurant, which serves traditional home-cooked food, with lunches Thursday to Sunday and evening meals Thursday to Saturday. There is a bar on site, occasional evening entertainment, and bed and breakfast rooms if family or friends are travelling without a caravan.
How much does it cost and how do I book?
Member pitch prices start from around £13 a night and run to about £20, based on up to two adults and two children. Booking is through the Camping and Caravanning Club, either online or by phone, once you are a member. The site's own number is 01535 642964 for direct queries.
