About this site

Old Manor Farm Certificated Site is a five van Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site on Shore Road at Hesketh Bank, laid out over three quarters of a level acre of gardens and woodland on a designated Biological Heritage Site. Hesketh Bank sits on the flat land behind the Ribble estuary, and there is an RSPB reserve a little over a mile from the site, with the Martin Mere wetland centre five miles away, Southport six miles and Preston ten. The village is a mile and a quarter down the road for a Booths supermarket and a fish bar, and steam trains run most Sundays on the light railway nearby. As a Certificated Site it takes up to five caravans or motorhomes and up to ten tents, on grass or hardstanding, with electric hook up for £5 a night on top. The Club lists it as member exclusive, so sort your membership before you book, and anyone after a big park with a bar and evening entertainment should keep looking. What lifts Old Manor Farm above the facility list is the produce: jams, jellies, chutney, free range eggs and firewood, sold in season from the farm, alongside a woodland walk and a children's play area. The site is open all year, fire bowls hire for £5 a night with a £20 deposit, and pitches start from £14 a night for two adults and two children.

Good to know

Are dogs allowed at Old Manor Farm?
Yes, pets are welcome at £1 per dog per night and there is a designated dog walk on the site itself. Beyond the gate there are many public footpaths and woodland to work through, plus an RSPB reserve just over a mile away, so there is no shortage of walking around Hesketh Bank.
Can you have a campfire at Old Manor Farm?
Yes, fire bowls can be hired for £5 a night with a £20 refundable deposit, so you do not need to bring your own. Firewood and logs are sold on site for £5, alongside the farm's home produce. This is one of the few Certificated Sites in the area to offer fires at all.
Is Old Manor Farm open all year?
Yes, the Camping and Caravanning Club lists the site as open from 1 January to 31 December, so you can pitch up in any month. A £10 non-refundable deposit reserves the pitch and the balance is paid on arrival. Full payment is required up front for bank holiday stays.
Do you need to be a Camping and Caravanning Club member?
Yes, the Club lists Old Manor Farm as a member exclusive Certificated Site, so arrange membership before booking. Certificated Sites operate under the Club's jurisdiction and take up to five caravans or motorhomes and up to ten tents at a time. The farm also takes bookings direct by phone or email.
How much does it cost to stay at Old Manor Farm?
Tent pitches start from £14 a night, caravans from £16 and motorhomes from £18, each covering two adults and two children. Electric hook up adds £5, awnings £2 and a gazebo £5. Extra adults are £4, extra children £2 and dogs £1. Your first car is free and extra cars £5.
Does Old Manor Farm take tents?
Yes, tents are welcome and the Club lists up to ten tents or trailer tents alongside the five caravan or motorhome pitches. Rates run from £14 for a small or four man tent, £18 for a six man and £20 for a large jumbo. There is a choice of grass or hardstanding pitches.
