About this site

Park Fold Farm Certificated Site is a five van Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site on a small working farm at Bradshaw, on the northern edge of Bolton, with Jumbles Country Park effectively starting at the gate. Jumbles Reservoir and its walks are next door, which is the whole point of staying here. Bolton town centre is about three and a half miles south, Bury and its famous market roughly four and a half miles east, Ramsbottom and the East Lancashire Railway under four miles north, and Bromley Cross station, with trains through to Manchester, sits just over a mile away. The site is half an acre and level, taking up to five caravans or motorhomes plus trailer tents, on grass, hardstanding, or hardstanding with electric hook up. Facilities are deliberately basic: flushing toilets, washbasins, accessible facilities and a designated dog walk, with no showers listed by the Club. You need Club membership to stay, and the Club does not list standard tents here, so ring ahead if you were planning to camp under canvas. Ball games are allowed and the views run out over open farmland, with pubs, restaurants and a shop about a mile away. Park Fold Farm is open all year, booking ahead is advised, and member pitches start from £22 a night for two adults and two children.

Good to know

Are dogs allowed at Park Fold Farm?
Yes, pets are welcome and there is a designated dog walk on the site. The bigger draw is next door: Jumbles Country Park and the reservoir circuit start effectively at the gate, so you can walk straight out without driving anywhere. The farm is a working one, so keep dogs under close control.
Is Park Fold Farm open all year?
Yes, the Camping and Caravanning Club lists the site as open from 1 January to 31 December, so it takes bookings in any month. Booking ahead is advised, as a Certificated Site can only hold up to five caravans or motorhomes at a time and fills quickly in summer.
Do you need to be a Camping and Caravanning Club member?
Yes, Park Fold Farm is a member exclusive Certificated Site, so you need Club membership before you book. Certificated Sites are small, privately run campsites operating under the Club's jurisdiction, limited to five caravans or motorhomes and ten tents at any one time, which is what keeps them quiet.
How much does it cost to stay at Park Fold Farm?
Member pitches start from £22 a night, which covers up to two adults and two children per unit. The site is half an acre and level, with a choice of grass, hardstanding, or hardstanding with electric hook up. Booking in advance is advised rather than turning up on the day.
What types of pitch does Park Fold Farm Certificated Site offer?
The Club's site listing includes touring caravans, motorhomes and trailer tents, but does not list standard tents among the accepted units, unlike some other Certificated Sites nearby. Ring the farm before you book if you plan to camp under canvas. Grass pitches without electric are available alongside the hardstandings.
What facilities does Park Fold Farm Certificated Site have?
The Club lists flushing toilets, washbasins, accessible facilities and a designated dog walk, but does not list showers among the site facilities. Treat this as a basic Certificated Site and check with the owners when you book if showers matter to you. There is a shop and takeaway food within about a mile.
