Pool Bank Farm Certificated Location

Pool Bank Farm is a small, adults-only Certificated Location run under the Caravan and Motorhome Club, sitting on the brow of a hill above the lower Wharfe valley at Pool in Wharfedale, near Otley in West Yorkshire. As a CL it is a five-van members scheme site, so it takes touring caravans and motorhomes only, with no tents and no children. The draw here is the view: a wide panorama across Wharfedale and the Washburn valley, with clear-day sightlines said to reach the Yorkshire Wolds more than 30 miles off, over countryside familiar from Emmerdale. Four generous hardstanding pitches are divided by mature privacy hedges, each with 16 amp electric and water, and a fifth grass pitch also has hook-up. The site is 2 miles from the market town of Otley and roughly 9 miles from Leeds, Bradford and Harrogate, which makes it a handy, quiet base for walking the Chevin, the Dales fringe and lower Wharfedale. Dogs are welcome. Electricity is paid at cost through a £1 coin meter. Pitches are from £20 a night, rising to £25 on bank holidays, with a two-night minimum at weekends and three nights over bank holidays, booked directly through the Pool Bank Farm website.
