Why campers love it here
About this site
Riverside Farm is a back-to-nature campsite on the banks of the River Arun at Rudgwick, on the West Sussex and Surrey border, about 6 miles from Horsham. You can pitch a tent, park a caravan or bring a motorhome, choosing between a spot along the riverbank or a quieter pitch tucked by the ancient woodland. Electric hook-ups are limited at Riverside Farm, so booking ahead matters if you need power, and the site is open all year for those after an out-of-season trip. Toilets, shower blocks, washing up basins and waste disposal are all on site, keeping things straightforward rather than luxurious. This suits campers who want the water on their doorstep: bring your own kayak or paddleboard and launch straight from your pitch, or try your hand at fishing in the nearby lakes. The Downs Link path runs past the site, useful for walkers and cyclists. It is not the spot for anyone chasing a swimming pool, bar or entertainment programme, as this is proper countryside camping in a working farm setting. Rudgwick itself is a quiet West Sussex village, with Horsham a short drive away for shops and a train station.
