Why campers love it here
About this site
Ruda Holiday Park is a large, family-focused holiday park at Croyde Bay on the North Devon coast, run by Parkdean Resorts, with one of the region's best-known surf beaches a short walk from the pitches. The park spreads across two touring and camping areas near Croyde village, and the beaches of Saunton Sands and Woolacombe are both a short drive away in North Devon. Touring and camping pitches come as standard or fully serviced, and there are special Croyde Burrows grass pitches for caravans and motorhomes set closest to the bay, with sizes running from compact 8m by 7m plots up to spacious 10.5m by 13.5m pitches. Alongside the pitches sit caravans, lodges and apartments, plus an indoor pool, arcade, evening entertainment and surf lessons, so this is a busy, activity-led park rather than a quiet rural retreat. Ruda suits families and surfers who want plenty going on and the sea close by, and it is less suited to campers after peace and dark skies. The touring and camping season runs through spring to autumn, and pitches are booked through Parkdean Resorts' own booking system.
