About this site

Sandaway Beach Holiday Park is a clifftop holiday park on the North Devon coast between Combe Martin and Ilfracombe, run by John Fowler Holidays. The park stands right at the edge of the sea, with a stepped path down to its own small cove, Mermaid's Cove, and wide views out over the water. Alongside caravans and lodges for hire there is a touring and camping area that takes tents, tourers and motorhomes, so you can pitch up with sea views for a fraction of the fuss. A heated outdoor pool, Smuggler's Bar, indoor soft play, amusements and cabaret style evening entertainment give it a lively family feel in season. It is worth knowing the park is steep in places, so it is less suitable for anyone with limited mobility or wheelchair users, and the entertainment makes it busy rather than peaceful. The coast around Sandaway is a strong draw: Combe Martin village is close by, and the twin villages of Lynton and Lynmouth, linked by cliff railway, sit about ten miles east along the edge of Exmoor. Dogs are welcome. Self catering breaks are advertised from GBP 169, while touring and camping pitches are priced through the John Fowler booking system.

Good to know

Does Sandaway Beach Holiday Park allow tents and touring?
Yes, alongside its caravans and lodges the park has a touring and camping area that takes tents, tourers and motorhomes with electric hook ups. Many pitches enjoy sea views, though the park is hilly in places, so it is worth checking pitch suitability when you book.
Is Sandaway Beach dog friendly?
Yes, dogs are welcome at the park and across much of the North Devon coast nearby. The South West Coast Path runs close by for walks, and Combe Martin and the edge of Exmoor give plenty of dog friendly ground to explore on days out.
Is there a beach at Sandaway?
Yes, a stepped path leads down from the park to its own small cove, Mermaid's Cove, which has a rocky foreshore and a little sand, good for rock pooling. Larger sandy beaches sit nearby around Combe Martin and Ilfracombe within a short drive.
What is there for families at Sandaway?
The park has a heated outdoor pool, indoor soft play, amusements, laser tag and cabaret style evening entertainment through the season, along with a children's club. It runs as a lively, entertainment led family park rather than a quiet touring site.
When is Sandaway Beach Holiday Park open?
The park runs a main holiday season across spring, summer and autumn. Exact dates and touring pitch prices are confirmed through the John Fowler Holidays booking system, while self catering caravan and lodge breaks are advertised from GBP 169.
How far is Sandaway from Exmoor?
The park sits on the western edge of Exmoor's coast. Lynton and Lynmouth, linked by their historic cliff railway, are about ten miles east, and the Valley of Rocks and open moorland are within a short drive for walking and days out.
