Why campers love it here
About this site
Scotts Farm Camping Site spreads across 40 acres of level grassland at West Wittering on the West Sussex coast, close enough to the beach and the village that fish and chips on the sand is a realistic evening plan. Chichester and Chichester Harbour are both a short drive away, and Scotts Farm runs a first-come, first-served booking system for much of the year rather than fixed advance reservations. Tents, caravans and motorhomes are all welcome, with electric and non-electric grass pitches plus shepherd huts for a glamping-style stay, and there is a play area and a free dog shower with warm water. Dogs stay free of charge, on a lead within the camping area until they reach the dedicated dog walk field. Campfires are not permitted on bare ground, though you can bring your own raised fire pit burning smokeless fuel or charcoal, which suits campers happy to plan around that rather than expecting an open wood fire. The site opens from March to October, with higher pricing across July and August, and reviews are mixed: some praise the clean, well-equipped shower blocks and the walkable beach, while others found the welcome less consistent. This is a straightforward beach-based family trip rather than a luxury stay, with prices set out on the site's own tariff page.
