Southdown Way Caravan & Camping Park

Southdown Way Caravan and Camping Park is a year-round touring park at the foot of the South Downs, set between the villages of Keymer, Hassocks and Ditchling in West Sussex, just north of Brighton. The park is flat, open and accessible, and it is run in support of the Sussex Lantern charity, which puts every profit towards a planned centre for blind, partially sighted and disabled people. Tents, caravans and motorhomes are all welcome on the level pitches, with a children's play area, a small shop, an information hut and a coffee shack on site, plus laundry facilities and a dedicated accessible toilet and shower section. Southdown Way is built with accessibility as a genuine priority rather than an afterthought, which makes it a good option for anyone travelling with a disabled member of the group as well as families after a straightforward, well-run West Sussex stop. Campfires and barbecues are allowed provided they are raised off the ground, and fire pits can be hired on site. Hassocks station is an easy reach for direct trains to Brighton and London, and swimming pools, golf and horse riding are all within about ten miles.
