About this site

At Morthen, in the rolling farmland east of Rotherham in South Yorkshire, Springvale Farm runs a small certificated site for Camping and Caravanning Club members. It is a simple, green pitch for tents, caravans and motorhomes with no electric hook-up, and it welcomes families as well as couples looking for a calm base rather than a park full of facilities. The countryside between Wickersley and Aston is quiet and gently rolling, yet Rotherham is only about three miles west and Sheffield and the M1 are close, so days out are easy. Rother Valley Country Park, with its lakes, trails and watersports, is a short drive south, and Wickersley village has shops, pubs and places to eat for anything you have forgotten. Dogs are not accepted, keeping the small field settled. As with most club certificated sites, information online is thin, so contact Springvale Farm directly to confirm opening dates and a pitch, and bring your membership to book near Rotherham.
