Start Bay Caravan And Motorhome Club Site

Start Bay Club Campsite is a Caravan and Motorhome Club site on a gently sloping meadow beside the A379 at Stokenham, near Kingsbridge in South Devon. Its 93 touring pitches, 59 of them hardstanding, take caravans and motorhomes only, with no tents and a maximum outfit length of 9 metres, and the site opens roughly early April to early October. The sea is about three-quarters of a mile away, with the three-mile sweep of Slapton Sands and the Slapton Ley nature reserve within easy reach, which makes Start Bay a strong pick for beach days, birdwatching and coast walking rather than tent camping. The Start Bay Inn, known for fresh fish and chips, and the beachfront Seabreeze Cafe are a short walk away. On site you get a toilet block, family washroom, laundry, disabled facilities, electric hook-ups, a motorhome service point, dog walks, Wi-Fi and a playground. Kingsbridge lies about 6 miles off, with Dartmouth and Salcombe nearby and buses running to Plymouth. Caravan and Motorhome Club members pay lower pitch fees at Start Bay.
