Why campers love it here
About this site
Steamer Quay Caravan and Motorhome Club Site sits on the banks of the River Dart at Totnes in South Devon, a short riverside walk from the town centre. Following a full redevelopment of more than £1 million, the site now has 74 hardstanding pitches, including 46 serviced pitches with metered electric, alongside a refurbished shower and toilet block, motorhome service and waste points, and an electric-vehicle charging point. It takes caravans and motorhomes rather than tents, and works well for couples and families who want to explore Totnes on foot and leave the car behind. Dogs are welcome. A Morrisons is about five minutes away over Totnes bridge, and the town's independent shops, pubs and restaurants are close by. The steam railway, riverboat trips down to Dartmouth and the wider South Hams countryside give plenty to fill a few days. As a Club campsite Steamer Quay is open to members and non-members, opening from 20 March to 2 November 2026 with arrivals from 1pm. Book ahead in summer, as the Totnes area stays busy across South Devon.
