About this site

Pitches: 70 Opening Dates: Open All Year Stubcroft Farm Campsite is an award winning, traditional, family run site close to some of the South Coasts best sandy beaches, Chichester Harbour and the South Downs National Park. The campsite is in level paddocks surrounded by arable fields and sheltered by attractive hedges & trees. There is a wealth of wildlife on the farm including many bird species, deer, hedgehogs, foxes, rabbits, rare butterflies and much more. We pride ourselves on a friendly & welcoming atmosphere. Our Award-Winning new shower & toilet block was opened in 2016 with modern facilities including showers, toilets, washbasins, family rooms with baby changing facilities, hairdryers, washing up sinks, laundry, phone & tablet charging lockers, campers fridge / freezer and a well-stocked shop & reception area. It incorporates many innovative eco-friendly features. The campsite has received several awards recently including a prestigious Green Tourism Silver Award, Visit Englands Beautiful South Tourism Silver Award for Responsible, Ethical & Sustainable Tourism, a Bronze Award for Best Campsite & a further Bronze Award for Access & Inclusivity. We have 35 electric hook-up points as well as traditional tent pitches. The shop serves teas & coffee and stocks a good range of groceries including fresh milk. eggs & bread, local fresh sausages, bacon & barbecue produce, ice creams & cold drinks, logs, charcoal, camping goods & much more. We hire firepits for that classic evening campfire & even do logs, marshmallows & toasting sticks! Stubcroft is uniquely situated in an area known since medieval times as "God's Pocket" for its warm, sunny location and sandy beaches. It is in the lee of the Isle of Wight, which provides a mild, dry local microclimate with one of the highest average sunshine hours on the UK mainland. Near the campsite are some of the best sandy beaches on the South Coast. Bracklesham Bay and East Wittering with their villages, cafes, restaurants & beaches are within walking distance from the campsite. You can explore the quiet lanes of Chichester Harbour, the Salterns Way cycle path, discover West Wittering beaches & sand dunes of East Head, ride along the Canal towpath to Chichester or across the Itchy Bosom ferry from Itchenor to the picturesque village of Bosham. There are many great local attractions & days out nearby from the harbour & South Downs to museums, historic houses & family friendly activities including cinemas bowling & much more.
