The Knole Certificated Location

The Knole is a Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated Location on a working farm at Bridestowe, on the north western edge of Dartmoor near Okehampton in Devon. The five pitch site is for Club members and takes caravans and motorhomes rather than tents, with grass and hardstanding pitches and electric hookup available. There is no toilet or shower block, so a self contained outfit is needed, but the farm offers battery charging, drive over waste disposal for motorhomes, an information room and a dog walk from the gate. The views over Dartmoor are why many people return: open moor is about 1.5 miles away on foot, and Route 27 of the Granite Way passes nearby for cycling and level walking towards Okehampton. A village shop is half a mile away, with pubs close by and National Trust sites such as Lydford Gorge within easy reach. The Knole stays open all year and suits members chasing peace and moorland scenery in west Devon near Okehampton.
