About this site

Torne Bank Fishery is a small Camping and Caravanning Club certificated site set beside a coarse fishing lake at Epworth, on the low farmland of the Isle of Axholme near Doncaster. As a certificated site it takes a maximum of five caravans or motorhomes, with room for the odd tent, so it stays genuinely quiet and is open to Camping and Caravanning Club members. The appeal is simple, you pitch a few steps from your peg and fish a well-stocked, tidy lake, with the caravan right behind you. For a small site the facilities are better than most, with a purpose-built toilet block, hot and cold water, a hand dryer, and a disabled toilet with ramp access. Electric hook-ups are available to the pitches, dogs are welcome, and Torne Bank is open all year for anglers who fish through the seasons. Epworth itself is worth a wander as the birthplace of John and Charles Wesley, with the Old Rectory to visit, while Doncaster is around ten miles to the north-west. This is a site for anglers and quiet tourers rather than families after entertainment. Pitch fees are arranged through the club, so book with your membership and bring your rods.
