About this site

Welcombe Farm Certificated Location is a five-van Caravan and Motorhome Club site on a working farm at High Bickington, near Umberleigh in North Devon. Being a Certificated Location it is open to Club members only and takes caravans and motorhomes but no tents, keeping the field quiet with just five outfits at a time. Each pitch is level with easy access off a quiet lane, and there is an electric hook-up, a water supply and both grey and black waste disposal, plus a dog walking field running into a small patch of woodland. The land looks out over rolling North Devon towards the high ground of Dartmoor. A real plus is the village on the doorstep: High Bickington is a five-minute walk with two pubs and a shop and Post Office, so an evening pint or a forgotten pint of milk needs no drive. Barnstaple, Bideford and the North Devon surf beaches are around half an hour away by car, with RHS Rosemoor closer still. Dogs are welcome, up to two per outfit. Welcombe Farm stays open all year and suits touring couples who want a genuinely quiet, self-sufficient base rather than a park with shops and pools.
