Camping at Wimbleball Lake: Enjoy an outdoor camping adventure like no other. Wimbleball Lake provides a unique camping holiday in the Somerset countryside. The secluded setting of our campsite, set within the Exmoor National Park, offers a great Ôget away experience for families on holiday. During your visit you can enjoy the peaceful setting of our lake and take part in a range of outdoor pursuits with our onsite activity centre. Wimbleball Lake is an AA graded 3 star campsite with a choice of hard standings, electric and non-electric pitches for tents, motorhomes and caravans. For those who want to glamp, we have three brand new belle tents and two camping pods available. Onsite there are separate shower blocks, toilets, washing up facilities, a washing machine and tumble dryer, baby changing room and a chemical disposal point. Our campsite offers a great nights stay under canvas, outdoor adventuring, exploring and stargazing. You can hire a Ôfirepit, relax and enjoy our Dark skies - Wimbleball has been designated as the first International Dark Sky reserve in Europe. Camping with the Family. The campsite is ideal for families and anyone wanting to embrace the great outdoors. The large and open grounds ensure that children are able to run and play freely or let off steam in our playground. Explore Wimbleball Country Park by bike or foot. There are many miles of paths following the shorelines of lakes, meandering through woodland and onto open moorland, some of which are suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. A Ôtramper mobility scooter is also available to hire offering the opportunity for people of all abilities to enjoy paths both to the dam and to Bessom Bridge. ÔThe Duck cafe is only a short walk from the campsite and provides a great range of light refreshments. What can you do at Wimbleball? Participate in a range of activities both on and off the water. Onsite is our watersports activity centre offering tuition and hire for windsurfing, sailing, canoeing, cycling (hire available) and much more.
