About this site

Ashbourne Camping and Caravanning Club Site is a 70 pitch Club site at Hulland Ward, sitting on the A517 Belper Road roughly 5 miles east of the market town of Ashbourne in the Derbyshire Dales. Three fields hold the pitches: two are hardstanding and one is grass, most come with electric hook up, and the Club site takes caravans, motorhomes and tents. You do not need to be a member to stay here, as non members are welcome too. Families are well looked after, with a shop, a laundry, a covered washing up area and a big play field with room for ball games, and there is even the unusual option to stable a horse during your visit. Walkers and cyclists come for the setting: the Tissington Trail runs nearby along the old railway line from Ashbourne towards Parsley Hay, while Carsington Water and Dovedale sit within a short drive for reservoir loops and dale walks. Alton Towers is close enough for a family day out. The site trades through the main season, roughly April to early November, and every pitch is reserved through the Camping and Caravanning Club. Ashbourne makes a natural base for exploring this southern corner of the Peak District.
