Ashton Farm Certificated Site

Ashton Farm Certificated Site is a quiet five-pitch camping and touring field on a farm at Weston, just inland of Sidmouth on the East Devon coast. Operated through the Camping and Caravanning Club, it accepts tents, caravans, motorhomes and small campervans, with membership needed to book though visitors can usually sign up on arrival. The field has no mains hook-ups and no toilets or showers, so it is strictly for people who travel fully equipped and self-sufficient. In return you get a green, low-key base handy for the Regency resort of Sidmouth and a long stretch of the Jurassic Coast. Within about five miles you can find a beach, a golf course, tennis courts, horse riding, fishing and an indoor pool, along with a shop, a pub and somewhere to eat, and there is a bus route close to the entrance. The gates are open across the warmer half of the year, roughly April to the end of October, and dogs are part of the deal.
