About this site

Bank Top Farm Caravan and Camping is a small, traditional site on a 150 acre working farm at Fenny Bentley, about 2 miles from Ashbourne inside the Peak District National Park. It has been run as a family site since the early 1960s, and it keeps a quiet, old fashioned feel, set well back from main roads and surrounded by open Derbyshire countryside. You can pitch a tent or bring a caravan or a compact campervan, and the caravan area has 10 amp electric hook up. The facilities are the thing campers tend to praise: a modern toilet and shower block open around the clock, free showers, hot water in all the basins, plus washing up sinks, a tumble dryer and fridge and freezer use. It is a level, sheltered spot that suits couples and families who want a calm base rather than a lively park. A couple of practical points worth knowing: Bank Top Farm is cash only, so bring notes for your stay, and it cannot currently take electric vehicles because the supply is not set up for charging. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement and must be kept on leads. Ashbourne, with its shops and the start of the Tissington Trail, is a short drive, and Dovedale and the southern dales are close by for walking. The site is open from Easter to the end of October, with seasonal pitches also available.
