About this site

Beaulieu Gardens is a private holiday lodge park beside the River Stour at Christchurch in Dorset, made up of 20 owner-occupied luxury lodges. This is an ownership park rather than a touring site: there is no camping, there are no touring pitches, and there is no caravan or lodge hire, so it does not work as a book-a-pitch campsite. The draw for owners is the water. The park has its own private slipway and pontoon, giving boat access along the River Stour and down to Christchurch harbour, and most lodge plots have parking for two cars plus a boat. Entry is through private electric gates and there is an on-site warden. Beaulieu Gardens sits on Beaulieu Avenue, close to Christchurch town, with Bournemouth, Mudeford and the south coast beaches a short drive away and the New Forest to the north. New lodges are not sold here, though pre-owned lodges come up for sale from time to time, and viewing is strictly by appointment. The open season runs from 7 February to 7 January. This park shares its operator, Meadowbank Holidays, and its website with the separate Meadowbank touring and caravan park nearby, which is a different site in Christchurch. For lodge sales or a viewing at Beaulieu Gardens, contact the operator directly.

Good to know

Can I camp or book a touring pitch at Beaulieu Gardens?
No, Beaulieu Gardens is a private lodge ownership park with no camping and no touring pitches. It is made up of 20 privately owned luxury lodges beside the River Stour, so it does not operate as a book-a-pitch campsite for tents, caravans or motorhomes.
Can I buy a lodge there?
Yes, though supply is limited. New lodges are not sold at Beaulieu Gardens, but pre-owned lodges come up for sale from time to time. This is an exclusive private park, so viewing is strictly by appointment through the operator, Meadowbank Holidays.
What is the open season?
The park is open from 7 February to 7 January, closing for roughly a month in deep winter. As an ownership park it is used by lodge owners and their guests rather than booked as short holiday lets, so contact the operator directly with any questions.
Is Beaulieu Gardens the same as Meadowbank Holidays?
No, they are separate parks that share an operator and website. Meadowbank Holidays is a nearby touring and caravan holiday park in Christchurch, while Beaulieu Gardens is a private riverside lodge park on Beaulieu Avenue with its own gated access and on-site warden.
What makes Beaulieu Gardens unusual?
Its river access. The park has a private slipway and pontoon onto the River Stour, leading down to Christchurch harbour, and most lodge plots have room to park two cars plus a boat. Entry is through private electric gates with an on-site warden.
