About this site

Billingsmoor Farm Campsite is a small, car free, tents only site on a working organic dairy farm near Butterleigh, between Cullompton and Tiverton in mid Devon. There are just five pitches, and each one is generous (around 20 by 15 metres) with its own private toilet and hand basin, a picnic bench and a campfire pit, backed up by free hot showers and an undercover washing up area. Cars stay in the car park and the farm provides wheelbarrows to trundle your kit to the pitch, which keeps the camping field quiet and green. The surrounding countryside sits on the edge of the Blackdown Hills, yet the site is only about ten minutes from the M5 and roughly twelve miles from Exeter, so it is easy to reach and well placed for both Devon coasts. Billingsmoor suits tent campers who want space, privacy and a proper campfire, and families and dog owners are welcome, with dogs booked in and kept on a lead. It is strictly tents only, so caravans, motorhomes, campervans and trailer tents are turned away. The site opens from April to September, with a two night minimum at weekends. Pitches are booked through the farm's own website, where the tariff starts at around £31 a pitch per night.
