About this site

Boveys Down Farm is a family-run, 80-acre working farm above the village of Farway, near Colyton in East Devon, offering camping and glamping in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The site looks out over the Farway Valley and sits about 15 minutes' drive from the Jurassic Coast, so you get proper countryside seclusion with the coast still within easy reach. You can pitch a tent or bring a caravan or motorhome on the camping field from £22 a night, or upgrade to a bell tent or one of the restored retro caravans if you would rather turn up to a made bed. Campfires are allowed and dogs are welcome, and there is a genuine farm-to-fork angle here, with a barn restaurant serving breakfasts, cream teas and the farm's own pies, plus a farm shop. That mix suits families, couples and groups who like a bit more than a bare field, though it also hosts weddings and events, so it is worth checking the calendar if you want it quiet. Walking, the East Devon villages and Sidmouth and Seaton are all close. Boveys Down Farm stays open through the year, making it a reliable East Devon base near Colyton in and out of season.
