About this site

Birchwood Tourist Park is a family-run touring and camping park at Coldharbour, about three miles from Wareham in south Dorset, with a gate straight into Wareham Forest. The open, rural site takes touring caravans, motorhomes, trailer-tents and tents across a range of pitches, including electric hook-up and serviced pitches, and it stays open for most of the year, including Christmas and New Year, which is unusual for a Dorset campsite. The forest setting is the main draw: you can walk or cycle into the woods for dog walks and rides directly from the park, and it is well placed for Wareham's Saxon market town, Poole and the Jurassic Coast. Two toilet and shower blocks, an accessible facility room, a shop, a security barrier, electric car charging, a large games field, a play area and a paddling pool cover most needs, so it works for families as well as touring couples. There are no static holiday homes here, this is a touring and camping park. Dogs are welcome. Birchwood Tourist Park is open much of the year, and pitch prices and availability are handled through the park's own booking system.
