Why campers love it here
About this site
Bredy Farm Campsite is a lively, over 18s only campsite on a working farm in the Bride Valley, on the edge of Burton Bradstock near Bridport in Dorset. Camping spreads across two areas, The Orchard and The Mead, which sit either side of the little River Bride and are linked by a footbridge. Pitching is informal with no marked pitches, and the vibe is rustic: mains drinking water, composting and portable toilets, and free rustic showers, with no electric hook ups. Tents and smaller campervans suit The Orchard, while The Mead has room for larger vehicles, groups, twin axle caravans and large motorhomes. This is a place built around live music, cider and a bar that runs until 2am at weekends, so weekends get very lively and it is not the spot for anyone after a quiet night or a family holiday. Midweek stays are calmer. Well behaved dogs are welcome, fires and BBQs are fine as long as they are off the ground, and Hive Beach is a 5 minute drive or a 30 minute walk. Bredy Farm also hosts several music festivals across the summer. Camping runs for much of the year rather than all year, and prices are charged per person per night through the Bredy Farm booking system, with trailers, awnings, fire pits and dogs included.
