Bridestowe Caravan Park

Bridestowe Caravan Park, which many now know as Glebe Park, is a small, quiet family-run park at Bridestowe in west Devon, mixing a handful of touring pitches with holiday homes on the north western fringe of Dartmoor. The touring field is modest, with around 13 electric pitches for caravans, motorhomes and tents kept separate from the static caravan area, so tourers get a calm corner rather than a packed field. Dogs are welcome on the touring pitches, though not among the statics. There is no bar, pool or clubhouse, which keeps things low key and suits tourers who plan to be out on the moor most of the day. Bridestowe village sits a short walk down the lane with a shop, a post office and a pub doing food and local ales, while Okehampton and Tavistock are both an easy drive for supplies and days out. Dartmoor's tors, rivers and wooded valleys begin nearby for walkers and cyclists, and the position roughly between Devon's two coasts makes longer days at the sea manageable too. Bridestowe Caravan Park runs a long season from March to December and takes bookings direct, making it a workable off-season base as well as a summer one.
