About this site

Brixton Caravan & Camping Park is a sheltered, five-acre parkland site in the village of Brixton, about five miles from Plymouth on the A379 in the South Hams. It takes tents, touring caravans, motorhomes and campervans, with electric hook-ups available and a two minute walk into Brixton village for a pub, restaurant, fish and chip shop and shop. The setting is level and tucked away, which suits couples, families and touring caravanners who want a practical base for South Devon and Cornwall rather than an activity park with a bar or pool. It works well for beach days and moorland trips: Bovisand and Wembury beaches are both about three miles away, the Tamar Bridge into Cornwall is ten miles, and Dartmoor is within easy reach. A regular bus runs through the village and the nearest train station is Plymouth. Caravan, motorhome and boat storage is offered separately nearby. Site fees for 2026 are charged per person per night, with pitches at £7, adults at £5, children aged three to fourteen at £2 and electric hook-up at £7, so a couple with a tent starts at around £17 a night. Brixton Caravan & Camping Park is now open all year, which suits off-season touring too. Book ahead for peak weeks.

Good to know

How much does it cost to stay at Brixton Caravan & Camping Park?
Site fees for 2026 are charged per person per night. A pitch for a caravan, tent, motorhome or campervan is £7, adults are £5, children aged three to fourteen are £2, and electric hook-up is £7. So two adults with a tent start at around £17 a night, plus £2 per dog.
Is Brixton Caravan & Camping Park open all year?
Yes, the park is now open all year round, so it works for off-season touring as well as summer holidays near Plymouth. It is a sheltered, level parkland site, which helps in cooler months. Book ahead for busy periods, and contact the site directly to check winter availability before you set off.
Are dogs allowed at Brixton Caravan & Camping Park?
Yes, dogs are welcome and charged at £2 per dog per night. The site sits two minutes from Brixton village and close to the South Hams coast and Dartmoor, so there is plenty of walking nearby. Keep dogs under control around other campers and when walking through the village.
How far is Brixton from Plymouth and the beaches?
Brixton village is about five miles from Plymouth city centre, just off the A379. Bovisand and Wembury beaches are both roughly three miles away, the Tamar Bridge into Cornwall is ten miles, and Dartmoor is within easy reach for walking and days out around South Devon and the South Hams.
Can you get there by public transport?
Yes, a regular bus service runs through Brixton village, and the nearest train station is in Plymouth, about five miles away. That makes it possible to leave the car on site for a day and still reach Plymouth or explore the South Hams coast without driving everywhere.
Are electric hook-ups available?
Yes, electric hook-ups can be provided for £7 per night. The site has toilet and shower blocks with shaver points, and hot and cold water is always available. Note that charging electric vehicles from the hook-ups is not allowed. Caravan, motorhome and boat storage is offered separately at a secure location nearby.
