Why campers love it here
About this site
Bundu Camping & Caravan Park is a small, quiet touring and camping park with glamping on the edge of Dartmoor, about four miles west of Okehampton in Devon. Run by Malcolm and Frances, it sits just off the A30 within the Dartmoor National Park boundary, and a gate at the bottom of the site leads straight onto the moor and the Granite Way, a level former railway cycle route, with the Pump and Pedal cycle shop and licensed cafe right next door. There are around fifty pitches with electric hook ups to all of them, taking tents, caravans and motorhomes, plus glamping in furnished five metre bell tents that sleep up to four and a small two berth caravan for hire. Facilities are straightforward and well kept: a toilet and shower block, laundry, disabled facilities, a washing up area and a small shop at reception. Bundu suits walkers, cyclists and tourers who want a calm, tidy base for Dartmoor, Cornwall and the North Devon coast rather than a big park with clubs and pools. Families are welcome and so are dogs, kept on a lead at all times. The park opens from Easter to the end of October, with standard pitches from around £18.50 a night, booked directly with the site.
