About this site

Bundu Camping & Caravan Park is a small, quiet touring and camping park with glamping on the edge of Dartmoor, about four miles west of Okehampton in Devon. Run by Malcolm and Frances, it sits just off the A30 within the Dartmoor National Park boundary, and a gate at the bottom of the site leads straight onto the moor and the Granite Way, a level former railway cycle route, with the Pump and Pedal cycle shop and licensed cafe right next door. There are around fifty pitches with electric hook ups to all of them, taking tents, caravans and motorhomes, plus glamping in furnished five metre bell tents that sleep up to four and a small two berth caravan for hire. Facilities are straightforward and well kept: a toilet and shower block, laundry, disabled facilities, a washing up area and a small shop at reception. Bundu suits walkers, cyclists and tourers who want a calm, tidy base for Dartmoor, Cornwall and the North Devon coast rather than a big park with clubs and pools. Families are welcome and so are dogs, kept on a lead at all times. The park opens from Easter to the end of October, with standard pitches from around £18.50 a night, booked directly with the site.

Good to know

Is Bundu Camping & Caravan Park open all year?
No, Bundu opens from Easter to the end of October each year, not all year round. It is a seasonal touring, camping and glamping park, so check current dates when you book, especially if you are planning an early or late season stay.
Does Bundu have electric hook ups and glamping?
Yes, all pitches have electric hook ups, and the park takes tents, caravans and motorhomes. For glamping there are furnished five metre bell tents that sleep up to four, plus a small two berth caravan for hire if you would rather not bring your own.
Is Bundu good for Dartmoor walking and cycling?
Yes, a gate at the bottom of the site leads straight onto Dartmoor and the Granite Way cycle route, and the Pump and Pedal cycle shop and cafe are next door. The park is about four miles west of Okehampton, just off the A30.
Are dogs allowed at Bundu Camping & Caravan Park?
Yes, family pets are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times around the site. With direct access to Dartmoor and the Granite Way, there are plenty of walks on the doorstep for exercising dogs during your stay.
How much are pitches at Bundu and how do I book?
Standard pitches start from around £18.50 a night for one or two people, with electric hook up and extra person charges on top. Bundu is booked directly with the site, and reception can confirm current prices for pitches, bell tents and the hire caravan.
