Burnbake Campsite

Burnbake Campsite is a relaxed woodland campsite on the Rempstone estate near Corfe Castle, on Dorset's Isle of Purbeck, known for choose-your-own-spot camping among the trees. It sits about a 10 minute drive from the sandy beaches at Studland, roughly 15 minutes from Swanage and 20 minutes from Kimmeridge Bay, with Corfe Castle, the Tank Museum and the Jurassic Coast all close. Camping spreads across a sheltered wooded main field, a sunnier open field and a quieter campfield, with 12 electric hook-up points for tents, camper vans and motorhomes up to 7 metres. Pitches are unmarked and first come first served. The site does not take touring caravans because of a licence restriction, so caravanners need to book elsewhere. Beyond the facilities list, Burnbake keeps things rustic and easy: wood campfires are allowed in raised containers, fire pits and BBQ grills are available to hire, and the shop and seasonal snack shack cover the basics while children roam the woods and small play area. Well-behaved dogs stay free but must be kept on a lead, and disposable BBQs are banned to protect the Purbeck heathland. Safari tents add a glamping option for those who want less kit. Camping runs through the main season and books through the Burnbake booking system.
