Why campers love it here
About this site
Bushes Farm Caravan Park is a small, quiet, family run touring and camping site set in the woodland of a working farm at Stourpaine, in north Dorset's chalk country. The Georgian market town of Blandford Forum is under 2 miles away, yet the site feels tucked away, with a mix of sheltered pitches among the trees and open spots for those who prefer the sun. Pitches suit touring caravans, motorhomes and tents, with electric hook up available. It is a compact site with only a handful of hardstanding pitches, so it stays peaceful and rarely feels busy, which makes it a poor fit for large groups or anyone wanting a lively park with entertainment laid on. Walkers are well served: the chalk hill forts of Hod Hill and Hambledon Hill sit close by, along with the village of Pimperne, and there are dog friendly walks mapped from the farm itself. It also works as a stopover on local cycle routes. Bournemouth, Poole, Weymouth and Swanage are all drivable for beach days, while Salisbury, Bath, Sherborne and Shaftesbury lie the other way. Dogs and families are welcome. The site takes no card payments, so bring cash or pay the balance by bank transfer. Bushes Farm opens for most of the year, closing through December and January, with tent pitches from £18 a night.
