Why campers love it here
About this site
Cedar Organic Farm Stay is an off grid glamping bolthole on Rempstone Farm, a certified organic farm on the Isle of Purbeck near Corfe Castle in Dorset. Andrew and Claire Head have farmed here since 2007, and they have set aside one secluded woodland spot, surrounded by wildlife rich fields, for guests who want to switch off. The stay is a single retro caravan, cheerfully decorated in 1990s style, with a gas hob, fridge, well equipped kitchen, hot shower, an indoor flushing loo and a fire pit outside. Basics come provided, including organic tea, coffee, salt, pepper and cooking oil, and fresh eggs from the farm are available to buy. It suits couples and small groups after a quiet, back to nature break, and it does not suit anyone wanting hook ups, a lively site or facilities on the doorstep. Corfe Castle, with its ruined keep and walks, is close by, Swanage seaside and Studland's wild bay are about ten minutes away, and Wareham with its London train line is roughly fifteen minutes. Beaches at Studland, Swanage, Kimmeridge and Durdle Door all sit within a short drive. Cedar Organic Farm Stay is booked directly through the operator, who confirm current prices and dates.
