About this site

Dewflock Farm, trading as Dorset Farm Camping, is a small summer glamping and camping site on a working livestock farm at Winterborne Monkton, two miles from Dorchester in Dorset. The bell tent village sits in ten acres with southerly views towards the Wessex Ridgeway, and the county town of Dorchester is a short drive while Weymouth and the Jurassic Coast lie about seven miles over the Ridgeway. You can hire a furnished or part-furnished bell tent, or bring your own tent, trailer tent, roof tent or campervan on a grass pitch. There is no electric hook-up on pitch-your-own spots and, because this is a livestock farm, no dogs are allowed, so it will not suit dog owners or anyone after a full-service touring park. It suits families and couples who want a relaxed farm stay: children can drive the mini Land Rovers, meet the animals and roam an enclosed paddock, and every bell tent has its own fire pit for a barbecue. A shared field kitchen, hot showers and the Pig Shed Cafe (barista coffee, breakfast rolls and Wednesday and Sunday pizza nights) round out Dewflock Farm. The season is short, running mainly from mid-July to the end of August, with grass pitches from £28 a night and bell tents from £300 per stay, booked through the farm.

Good to know

Can I have a campfire or fire pit at Dewflock Farm?
Yes, every bell tent at Dewflock Farm comes with its own fire pit fitted for a barbecue, with hay bales provided for outdoor dining. The first bag of logs is included with furnished bells, and more firewood can be bought on the farm during your stay.
Are dogs allowed at Dewflock Farm?
No, dogs cannot be brought to Dewflock Farm because it is a working livestock farm. The owners note that they like dogs but cannot allow them near the animals, so the site does not suit dog owners who want to bring their pet on holiday.
When is Dewflock Farm open?
The bell tents and camping run for a short summer season, mainly from mid-July to the end of August. Pitch-your-own space is also offered over the late May bank holiday weekend, from Friday 22 to Monday 25 May 2026. Contact the farm to check availability.
Is there electric hook-up at Dewflock Farm?
Furnished bell tents include electric, and electricity sockets are available in the shared field kitchen and the toilet block. Pitch-your-own grass pitches for tents and campervans do not have an electric hook-up, so bring a leisure battery or power bank if you need power on the plot.
How much does it cost to stay at Dewflock Farm?
Grass pitches start from £28 a night based on two people sharing, with extra adults £10 and children £8. Furnished bell tents are £420 per stay and part-furnished bell tents £300 per stay, each for up to four people. Booking is through the farm's own system.
Is Dewflock Farm good for families?
Yes, the site is relaxed and family friendly. Children can drive the mini Land Rovers each morning, meet the farm animals and play in an enclosed paddock, and the Pig Shed Cafe serves breakfasts, coffee and summer pizza nights. Parents are asked to supervise at all times.
